COMMUNITY GOVERNANCE COUNCIL / LOCAL SCHOOL LEADERSHIP COUNCIL (LSLC)
Community Council Grade-Level Representative Elections
The structure of the Community Council calls for six parent representatives—one for each grade level, K–5. Two parents may share a single representative position, if desired. Representatives are elected annually, and their role is vital to ensuring strong communication and collaboration between families and the school.
If elected, your primary responsibility will be to represent the families in your grade level. This includes attending all Community Council meetings and promptly sharing relevant updates with your grade-level community. Council meetings are held at least once a month, typically on Tuesday afternoons from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m. The term of service for grade-level representatives is one year.
Parents may nominate themselves to represent only one grade level. Please note that regular employees of Community Magnet Charter School and current board members of CFF (Community Friends Foundation) are not eligible to serve as representatives. The CFF President appoints a separate liaison to attend Council meetings.
Thank you in advance for your dedication to our students and school community. If you have any questions about Community Council or the election process, please contact Principal Toni.
